The Roselle Park School Counseling Department, in conjunction with the greater school district community, strives to support the student body through a comprehensive counseling program that focuses on academic development, social emotional learning (SEL), as well as college and career readiness. The school counseling program aims to promote responsible and resilient individuals prepared to serve in productive, meaningful careers.

Guidance Services and Activities:
College and Career Advisement: Classroom Workshops, One-to-One Counseling, Computer Software, Parent Presentations, RPHS College/Career Fair, Off-Campus College/Career Fairs, Special Career Presentations, Career/College Resources, Armed Forces Visitations.
Academic Counseling: Individual Meetings, Small Group Presentations, Course Scheduling, Monitoring of Academic Progress and Intervention, Status Reports, Affirmation Sheets, Progress Reports, Report Cards
Testing Assessment: New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA), NJSLA, Career Interest Inventories, PSAT, SAT, Advanced Placement Exams and more.
Individual Counseling, Life Skills Groups and Crisis Intervention: Personal and Small Group Counseling, Substance Abuse Programs, Crisis Intervention.
Scholarships, Financial Aid and College Application Processing: Preparation and Distribution of Scholarship Opportunities, Coordination of Nomination for External Leadership, Community Service and Recognition Programs, Parental Financial Aid Workshop, RPHS Scholarship and Awards Committee.
Parent Programs: Back-to-School Night Participation, High School Orientation for 8th Grade Parents, Financial Aid Workshop, Going to College Workshop for Junior Parents, College/Career Conferences, Teacher/Parent Conferences, IEP & 504 Meetings.
