The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a member-led organization dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of college athletes.

NCAA ELIGIBILITY

Any student athlete wishing to play Division 1 or 2 sports must inform the Athletic Director of their intentions and must set up an account with the NCAA Eligibility Center. This process is important as only select RPHS courses qualify for consideration in a student's clearinghouse GPA configuration. See the list of approved courses here (enter CEEB code: 311330).

To create an account with the NCAA eligibility center follow the steps below:
  • Go to the NCAA Eligibility Center website linked here: https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/
  • Select option 3 to create an Academic and Amateurism Certification Account.
  • Submit payment to create the account (if eligible for free or reduced lunch you may request a fee waiver).
  • Reach  out to your counselor via  email once you register so your transcript may be uploaded.

In addition to notifying the Athletic Director, it is also important to discuss your plans with your coaches,  parents/guardians and your counselor as they may be able to guide you to schools that might be a fit for you both academically and athletically.
